hey all, ive just had my behringer bx600 break down on me...again...and when i got it from gc, i bouthg the performance guarantee, so i'll be getting about $160 from that. the thing is, i now HATE all things behringer, and im gonna switch brands, so what would u guys suggest for a quality 60-ish watt amp for about $300? (i have about 150 to add to the 160 check)

just from personnel experience, ampeg last longer, create a better tone for a larger variety of basses...

they are a more personnal preference...

or maybe perhaps look into the fender rumble series or bassman...you can get the rumble 100(W) for around $300 at GC...i enjoy mine...

but go to GC and try out at their basses in your price range...

I love my SWR LA12 combo.

Costs around $200 and is 60 watts. You could get the LA15 (100w) for $300 though.

id say used Ampeg, or Aguilar or maybe peavey.

Check out Carvin.com They make top quality amps and basses. You save
a lot of money cause they sell to you direct eliminating the music store and their markup price.

Peavey makes some pretty decent practice amps, but rather go with SWR if you can

My top three brands (that someone could actually afford): Hartke, SWR, (used) Rolands
