im in need of some new boom stands and i saw someone say dw 5700's were good, and i looked, and they looked ok, especially for $85. if anyone has any exp. with them, please comment.

ok ive looked and decided on tama roadpros, i was going to get 2 of these for my ride (now on a straight) and my china (now sitting on a bed in the rooms my drums are in) and i have 2 other crappy stands for my crashes that will work since i can't buy 4 roadpros. also a clamp for a splash, anyone think this is a good buy

DW stands are tanks. 5000s are great. If you want someting a bit cheaper but still heavy duty then look into Tama Roadpro. Great stands for the price. They are about $65

I have a DW 5700 (18" crash) and a 5700L (lightweight; 16" crash). They are absolutely phenominal. Especially for their price.

My Roadpro stand is pretty sturdy. It's got a tom hanging on it and the cymbal arm stretched out to it's fullest, and it's holding strong.
