My mate has a real nice old Pearl Acryllic set... Apparently its a rare find and only so many were available in Australia. It's his dads anyway... But the point is it has 6 8 10 12 13 16 18 toms and the 6 8 10 and 12 toms are all concert toms. Anyway he asked me what skins they should get for all their drums as they were looking to upgrade the skins. I had no trouble telling him good combos for the bass, snare n regular toms but i didn't know what to tell him for the concert toms. What sort of skins are the standard for concert toms? I thought he couldn't go wrong with Ambassadors but I told him to ask the guys at the store. Can any of you guys help?

Cheers

Remo actually makes Concert Tom heads. I don't think he can go wrong with Ambassadors, although I'm not too shure. He can't go wrong with the Concert Tom heads I'll tell you that much ;)

From pictures I've seen of old and famous drummers, Remo Controlled Sound heads seem to have been popular on concert toms.

<============ There's some CS heads.

Yeah the clear CS's were always a hit for those so try them first

Well I just found out that they got clear G2's... what do you think about that? I haven't heard them yet but hopefully soon I will...

for concert toms and acrylic drums(IMO) there is no head to consider other than Remo CS Black Dot

remo CS dot or ambassador, anything heavier is over-choking.
