I have noticed that most traditional grip players lean left while playing in order to get a better angle with their left hand. I'm wondering if this has ever led to back problems.
Id suggest it would, but neck pain would probably be the biggest concern. This posture can be easily corrected by angling the snare to the right slightly or adjusting your throne height.

I feel more comfortable as far as body positioning goes when playing trad but my left hand is so much better matched(still pretty bad, especially compared to my right) so I play matched because I feel that its harder to get good volume with traditional.

Tilt the snare. I don't lean to the left, i've been playing trad for 4 1/2 years. i dont lean left when my snare isnt tilted, so i dont see the problem?. i have great posture compared to some.

Because back during the civil war, that was how the snare drums were played.

Smelling good too.
It's crazy how easy traditional looks, yet how much trouble it is giving me.

you must be watching some severely stupid players:p
I play traditional most of the time, though equally proficient in matched. I never lean to the left.
If you notice someone leaning, then I'd say it's an issue with their grip. They don't know how to properly hold the grip so they just lean to make up for their bad grip.
