For a rack for my 6-piece (hopefully) would it be advisable to get a straight, curved or V-rack? I'm gonna go with Gibraltar so no ICON offers please. Also what is the best cowbell for rock? Can someone answer that? And does anyone have any experience with either AA or HHX chinas?Cheers guys

I would say strait, And look at some LP(Latin Percussion) stuff.
HHX chinas are Very well sounding. Maybe look at some Wuhan.

i love my curved rack... but if yuo go the straight route, go to your local home depot and get... i think it's 1.5" OUTSIDE diameter piping, then you can cut it to whatever length you want, and go get it powdercoated any color you want and just use gibraltar clamps.

the hhx chinas own.

do NOT get a ridge rider cowbell, the rivets that hold the plastic part on mine came loose and buzz.

I would get a straight rack, but it could depend on how your 6 piece is set-up. As for cowbells just look around because generic cowbells can sound really good believe it or not, so just because it's generic don't just blow it off, try it out. And for china HHX wins.

I don't like ICONs because my teacher has one and he says that he would prefer to get a GIbraltar rack anyday. He has had problems mounting on other extensions or something. Also nothing doing for Wuhans either. I really don't like them. I've played on about 6 of them and hate them.
