So I'm heading to my local drum shop tomorow with £200-300. I was thinking of getting some of these (will try before I buy) but I was just wondering what you guys thought of them or if you had any other suggestions.

Most of my stands are broken so either a few Sonor 400 stands (£40 ish) or a PDP stainless steel rack with two booms and a few clamps (£200). Is this a good, sturdy rack as I don't want to have to replace it in the near future?

A new crash (probably 16") to compliment 14 Paragon hats, 21 K heavy ride and a 18 A custom projection crash. Replacing my last zxt.

A new snare head - remo coated amb or evans coated g1 and maybe a Mapex BP steel piccolo 13" by 3.25" (£118). And if I have any left over cash a splash or zil bell.

Obviously I can't afford all of these so please help me decide.
Cheers.

id try out all the crashes, find one you like and you should still have enough for a beefy stand and a new snare head :thumb:

For the rack I think the Pearl Icon is regarded as one of the best and sturdiest racks about so i'd consider going with that.

For the Crash consider the 16" Avedis Medium-Thins or the Avedis Fast Crash's. Awsome crash's.

I didn't know they did a 21" K Heavy, hows it sound?

and Congrats on deciding to replace the ZXT's :) Smart move :D.

I'd skip the piccolo if your limited for choices, you can always get them later.

Yeah but a crash and you would have money leftover to get you a nice stand for it and possibly a head too. Heck you might even have enough to get the snareside for the snare also. :chug:

Yeah so glad the ZXT's will be gone, and I've had an offer for £100 for them so thats more gear when I sell them. K heavy is beautiful, I especially love the bell, really cutting. I think the 21 has been discontinued now which would explain you not knowing about it.

Thanks for the help so far.
