Yo, I used to hate the ramones, but now I dont, and I'd like to get some of their stuff. I might just go for the anthology, or sohuld I buy the albums individually? Which albums shold I get if I go individually?

Get a live album, they always sound better live. If you want studio stuff, you can't go far wrong with the anthology.

Joe tells the truth. The live ones are way heavier.

I agree, a live album would be your best bet. If you want a studio album, Anthology is pretty good. Next time, use this thread (http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=405089) for recommendations.

Besides live albums, I'd get the first three. Ramones, Rocket to Russia, and Leave Home. End of the Century was meh.

get 'It's Alive', most consider it their best album, it's from the lat 70s i think, so doesnt have any of their rubbish stuff on it

It's probably not a good idea to start with the stuff you "used to hate".

Getting Too Tough To Die would be an awful idea.

The first five albums and then live ones. They play I Wanna Be Sedated in a different key live, I think.

You can't go wrong with the first four albums

1. The Ramones
2. Ramones Leave Home
3. Rocket to Russia
4. Road to Ruin

I can't vouch for Road to Ruin as I haven't heard it but the other 3 are def. classic.

what about their greatest hits?? Loud, Fast. Ramones. their greatest hits i think that is a great one. you could start with that one and then get the albums of the songs that you liked. (everything up to "outsider" on that album is great. the other stuff didnt do it for me)

Yeah I'd say the self-titled, along with some live ones, or Loud, Fast, Ramones.

Anthology for sure. I have it. It's great. Comes with a great booklet.
