So today was the day i went to my local music store to look on some splashes. As i walked in i saw that they stocked wuhan! something i had missed everytime i visited theyre store before. But anyway, i thought, fawk it, no splashes for me im getting a china! And i ended up buying a 16" Wuhan china and a Evans G1 coated for my snare. I can finally get rid of my well used Emperor X and put a nice 1 ply haed on. Anyway, the head and china cost me 77 euros, do you think it was a good deal?

I think you payed a bit too much .......... I don't know, 12 inch Wuhan's are 10 dollars and than the head...

wuhans are really rare in finland and you must also notice that everything realted to drums is expensive as hell over here!
I dont know how dollars and euros match but if theyre about the same, you cant get anything more than a pair of stick over here for 10 euros

EDIT: And jsut to make sure, you are suposed to mount the china upside down right? So that the bell is facing down as is the text on the cymbal

Btw, anyone have any good tips for me on how playing the china? i mean that i dont break it instantly or treat it wrong in any way, its my first china and i feel like a retard!

Why not Lime?

I don't know, Put some felts top and bottom, and turn it upside down. If you keep it right side up, It won't damage the china, But the upturned edges will knaw at the sticks. Play it like any other cymbal in your collection, It's no different. Just utilize good technique.

Seeing as its wuhan i'd use a clancing blow or the pull back technique.

With them being hand hammered without much in the way of quality control they can sometimes have weak points.

Dont get me wrong, they're good cymbals. You just get the odd bad one.

i think it was a good deal too for me living in finland. Next when i get some cash i'll be buying, a splassh or two, a few stands and a new snare (prolly Tama Artwood) and i also need a new pedal and thorne, god i have to many things to buy. I would also like a good kit, maby i'll upgrade hw and get cymbals firs

my wuhan splash cost 10 quid , there was a china there for also 10 quid... im guessing it was one of the bad ones cuz it sounded like trash...not trashy...just trash
