Those Pacific BOA pedals look awesome. Very sturdy, and direct drive too. I think I'm gonna try one out soon. Does anyone know anything about them or ahve experience with them?

Like 350-400. I tried a single, and was impressed, but I didn't know if the doubles were diff.

Is that 350-400 for a single or double? Also isnt pacific supposed to be less expensive than dw? Thats about the price of a 9000 pedal.
I tried the Hihat stand, It wasnt TO smooth but fine, But honestly just buy a DW.

How do you adjust tension since they opererate without a spring as far as I can tell.
You can;t...cause it's a direct drive blablabla. and fugly :p

Wait you said you cant adjust it because its a direct drive. Doesnt that just mean that it has a belt instead of a chain? How does that affect wheather the tension can be adjusted?

The tension comes from the footboard... which isnt adjustable..

The fact that the pedal is a direct drive pedal has nothing to do with it's ajustability. The only reason the B.O.A. pedal isn't ajustable is because it doesn't operate with the help of a spring, the footboard (called FlexTech or something) is supposed to give the tension of a spring.
A direct drive pedal with a spring is as ajustable as a chain driven pedal with a spring (given they are the same kind of pedal).

Single. Yep the BOA is in fact as expensive as a 9000.

which i think is pure bull**** because i would much rather have a flying dragon direct drive or an axis pedal

Not quite. You cant adjust the chain length (so to speak) of a direct drive. I think you can on the new trick pedals though.

i think on those, you can adjust the tension somewhat by how far foward/back you set the direct attachment point at the toe, look closely in the pic and you'll see where it slides back and forth.

yep, because i'm pretty sure axis and flying dragons come with springs, so they are adjustable, and Axis and FDs look better. Axis longboards are pretty much perfect for me, so i personally would never bother with a BOA, plus i think a single axis is about the same as a single BOA

Nice observation Chippy... I was down on it for the adjustability(sp?) factor but now I would like to try one (try not buy... im content with my 5000s).

i've never tried one, but DW can't be THAT dumb as to make an unadjustable-tension pedal... >.>

I tried one yesterday, wasnt that bad. But for the price, you could just get a cheap 100 dollar pedal that would proably feel pretty close to that. Plus its footboard looks like a toy, I was affraid to snap it in half.
