Hostel was pretty gory. I donno, I haven't really seen any movies where I was amazing or impress by the amount of gore. Mostly just movies with the amount I expected.
Hostel was like a p0rno with some gore

First thing that came to my head. I've never seen it, but I've seen screens of it and it looks pretty gross.

I've never been grossed out by a movie. Maybe I should see Hostel and Dead Alive before I say that, but there are tons of movies people have told me to watch because they were so scary or gory, and I didn't think they were, so I don't know why these would be different.

Dead Alive. You'll watch the first half, and probably be like, "Damn.. this is kind of brutal, but not." And then you watch the second half, and it's a thousand times worse. :D
Dead Alive ftw
that, and Day Of The Dead.

Last I remember, the most over the top were supposed to be Ichi the Killer and Cannibal Holocaust. Seriously, look them up, I haven't seen either but I've seen detailed discussions on this topic, and most agreed that these were as gory as it gets.
Pop music sucks

Ichi the Killer was more brutality and S/M stuff, it was fuggin' hilarious.
After watching The Hills Have Eyes recently, I realized that gore doesn't really bother me. The only thing that really affects me anymore is rape. It's the only thing that I really find disgusting in movies, whereas I don't have a problem with gore at all.

Like when Ichi is standing outside the apartment and that guy beats the crap out of the lady, and proceeds to rape her.
That was the only part that made me cringe just the slightest.
Yeah, but then the ridiculously bad cgi a few minutes later relieves the tension.

High Tension was pretty gory.....oh, and if anyone's ever since the foreign film "Irreversable", that's probably the most disturbing movie I've ever seen.

Speaking of foreign films, I heard Audition was pretty harcore. Its about some chinese lady who cuts people to bits...

Yeah, but then the ridiculously bad cgi a few minutes later relieves the tension. :lol:And not only that, but I believe Ichi was also relieving tension;)
And Audition is a wonderful, beautiful movie. There's hardly any gore, but the for the few moments there are, it's very emotional. It's not gory in the sense that you think of gratuitous gore, it's moreso the effect of what she was taught what love was shen she was a child. It's the conflicting views of love and how each other reacts to distrust.

It's not too bad... it's only the ending when things pick up, and even then it's not that bad.

A History of Violence had some pretty gory scenes in it.

David Cronenberg has made movies much, much more gory than A History of Violence, which was Kindergarten fare (although a decent, entertaining movie) compared to Videodrome and Scanners.

I'd have to say the House of 1000 Corpses or Devil's Rejects. They weren't all that gory but the subject matter and pure idea of the first one kinda freaked me out, the second was by far way better, focused more on characters than random killing. High tension was a great movie too, lots of gore... The Hills Have Eyes if ****ING WICKED, I went and saw the new one in the theater and it was AWESOME. I've never seen the first one so I can't compare, but it's a must see :D

that, and Day Of The Dead.
Day of the Dead wasn't that bad. The only gory scenes were where Rhodes got ripped up and the other guy got his face ripped off. Both were cheezy though.
Although;
Real pig intestines were used for the scene where Rhodes gets ripped apart in the hallway. Unfortunately, someone had left the guts out of the freezer over the weekend, and after the scene was shot the cast and crew ran away gagging.
Haha.
