Metroid Prime Hunters (DS) review

After delaying this title for countless months/years, its FINALLY here, and I can honestly tell you, it was well worth the wait.

The story starts off as you (Samus) are in search for artifacts, hunters are chasing you down, blah blah, you shoot a ton of aliens.

Controls are TOP notch for a FPS game. Its MUCH nicer than playing SOCOM on the PSP, and the touch screen provides responsiveness similiar to a mouse

Online play is even packed in with this fukker

this game is, by far, the BEST DS game to date. The 1p adventure mode EASILY rivals its gamecube counter part, and the ability to use up to 8 different guys in multiplayer mode makes for some interesting battles.

id give it an 11/10 if it were possible

online play is amazing. It takes about 2 minutes to find a random game, and i hadnt noticed ANY slow down at all


watch out for pricks using characters you havent unlocked. It seems VERY unfair :lol:

i messed with the different control schemes, and this game seriously breaks some new ground as far as handheld FPS are concerned. The elements in the game are extremely unique.

a DS is worth getting for this game ALONE. Its really THAT good. The controls are AMAZING, the touch screen when you're in ball form is magnificent, like marble madness with more control, and the inexpensive games make everything so accessable

its fukking SWEET when you unlock all the characters cause each their own special weapon, and dont always morph into the ball like samus.


One guys name is triskelion, who runs real fast in his alternate form, and lunges at people. That same guy also has a sniper type rifle that you can zoom in with.


Honestly, i prefer this game over the other metroids

but on the DS, they register ur DS with the game and give you a 12 digit friend code. You can find random games online to play, or you can connect with people in your "friend" list.

like i said, before you start playing mad random games, take some time to unlock all the characters.


For me, I also found that setting the look sensitivity all the way down helps me a lot. You can still turn around hella quick, and it makes it much easier to strafe and have the enemy in your cross hairs.

People retreating in their ball form gets annoying as hell :lol:

Ouendan and Bleach will have to be imported from Japan, Trauma Center will have to be imported from the US, and a few of those games aren't out until next Friday in Europe.

I think Castlevania is really the only MUST HAVE that I can think of. The mario kart bored the hell out of me, even though that was online play


Meteos is wonderfully adictive, but most people suck ballz and will refuse to play you


Animal crossing only grabbed my attension for about 2 weeks. Either way, all the games are very cheap

I have played multiplayer with the bots more than single but I'm working on single. Do you use the stylus for this game? I use the thumb pad on the strap so I can hold the DS with both hands. Playing with the stylus made my left hand cramp up trying to hold the DS, and move, and shoot. When I go to my girlfriends house I will get online and I'll post my friend code after I do.

i actually use the stylus on right hand mode, with the sensitity all the way down (1)
