Soooo im getting a 5 string..

An OLP 5 String.

Anybody else have an OLP 4 or 5 string in here?
If not some opinions would be good.I got it for $500 AUS new which is a pretty good deal, and im definately gonna upgrade the electronics sometime soon (Sansamp 9v or 18v pre amp, EMG MM Style pick up, possibly a jazz p/up at the bridge etc)

But yeah opinions, if you have one or not,played one hate one, its all good.



Funny sidenote, the guys who sold it to me mentioned that Ernieball won't sell you Music man pick ups to replace the original OLP pick ups, cheap bastards..


I'd post pics but meh, its black with an abalone pickguard and chrome hardware.

I don't have an OLP but have heard that the Nordstrand MM pickup is absolutely amazing. I don't think they ship here so I would contact Brian at http://www.bestbassgear.com. He sent me some pups and was great to talk to.

Yeh, I'd go for a four or a six string personally. But good choice man...
