It is up on the market again.

This is a brand new Marcus Miller Jazz bass in Near mint condition with original gig bag.

I'm willing to entertain Trades or first $700 gets it.

Please don't offer low ball trades.

Unfortunately I can't buy it because I just spent all my money on a Hot Rod and am now saving up for a Bongo.

But I played one of these while I was shopping, and they are truly awesome basses. Whoever picks it up will not be disappointed :)

You want a Bongo? I may be willing to trade my Bongo for the right offer.:)

MusicMan SUB, a box of girl scout cookies, a trash bag and some hot chocolate that may or may not be hot by the time it gets to you.

J/K

If I had the money, and didnt love my SUB so much, I might have traded or bought it from you. That bass is very nice, I played one a while back.

Really? What are the specs on it?

At the moment, the only thing I'd be willing to *trade* is my MIM Jazz, but I've got a feeling you wouldn't be interested in it.

If my checking balance wasn't -876$... I'd consider buying the Miller... but DAMN bongos are ugly as hell.

Damn JP, that is one damn sexy Bongo...

Seeing as I'm not sure on a trade, how much money would you want for that baby?

And why get rid of it? Any particular reason or are you just sick of it?

Just a feeler. Seeing what I might be able to get for her. I was thinking about asking $850.

The Brad: Not really looking for another Jazz bass. Thanks anyway.

Yeah, I'd cost heaps more.

It'd probably turn out to be cheaper than buying brand new here though.

JP, open an actual shop. Then you can display your Winterses there. I'm sure you've NEVER thought of that before.

Yea, I'm from Sydney, and yes, shipping would be a bitch.

However if it works out to be a lot cheaper than buying one here, I would be very keen to do it, seeing as I can't wait to buy a Bongo!

Although I'll be able to get a Bongo from Guitar Factory in Parramatta for $2600 with a case, strings, strap, free setup and services for a year, so I'm not sure it will work out much cheaper for me.

I've already got $1500 saved up since I bought the Hot Rod, so I'm 2 weeks away from being able to afford the Bongo!

I'm actually building a few for a local music store. They can display them for me, and I won't have to worry about overhead.:thumb:

I'd just keep saving. You're almost there. It'd be a pain to get it here as well.

That's true. I also like the idea of buying a brand new bass. The Bongo I order will be exactly how I want it in terms of colour, pickguard, pickups, etc. So when it comes in, I should be the first person to play it :D

The awesome thing about me job is that if I do some overtime, and depending on what days my shifts fall on, I will be able to earn something like $1000-1200 after tax, so in no time at all I will have my new bass, plus any effects I feel like buying, plus well on my way to saving for a new amp should I ever decide to upgrade.

Want a ibanez sr305dx? and i could throw in some effects as well.

EDIT: drop me an email if you are interested, you know the address. If not, laugh about my offer in here.

I was just bringing up the shipping for the point that it may be more expensive, but yeah if it's 2600 for a new one just buy JP's because UPS was charging like $400 to ship to France, so... I think it would probably be cheaper to just buy his.

Well, to convert that into Australian dollars, $850+400 would equal about AU$2100. Then there's insurance, plus any import fees I would need to pay, so it could only come to a couple of hundred bucks cheaper. Much easier to simply buy from a shop, and that way I'm avoiding any problems that may come from getting a bass shipped over here. And if something does go wrong, Guitar Factory can sort it out for me.

But your dollar is worth more than ours? According to XE.com-
1,300.00 USD = 1,793.61 AUD

Maybe I am missing something here.

Exactly!

Hopefully CMC (Music Man distributer for Aus) has the exact model you want, because if you have to order a colour to be built the build times can take a few months.

I think he's trying to make room for his own basses that he's building, if he's building something that can do the job as well or better, not much need for it.

Hmm, that is correct . . . I must of entered the wrong numbers into XE when I checked before.

Yea, however I don't mind waiting if it's exactly what I want. But if I want a particular colour, and they only have my second my choice in stock, I will go for the one in stock. Cause so far, the only Bongo's I've seen in person are black and blue, and I loved the blue one. I would like to get envy green, but I don't think they do that colour on the Bongo's anymore.

I noticed the LTD pack is out now. If it came with a colour other than black, I would be all over it.

Those LTD's are nuts. Mahogany body, birdseye neck. Not your typical Music Man.

Cost an arm and a leg though.

NO WAY.

That totally wrecks my idea to get a JP custom. It CAN'T be true!
...
OK I checked it and JP said it would be 150 dollars to the UK so I think it will be 200 to The Netherlands. That with a 900 (I think) dollar bass = 1100 dollar = 900 euro. Now be jealous* biatches!

Free bump :D

it's still on my wishlist as my next bass when I start to gig more with my bands. I haven't found another bass which actually really fits me without mods
