I was skeptical because the only corts i had played on were in some little shop and were obviously bottom line models. But i played this one at guitar center http://www.cort.com/basses/curbow/index.html . They only ask 300 and it has a major tone range. any of you guys own it or have opinions? It sounds good now but i'm worried that it may not last long or what not. Can anyone tell me if corts are dependable????

i find that curbows are majorly uncomfortable, and i dont think they give a great tone either. i really wouldnt buy a curbow.

I personally don't like the feel of Curbows, but they look ace and sound nice. If you like the feel I would go for it. Corts are great basses. I believe Cort actually manufactures quite a few other brands of guitars in their factory.

Although it felt nice and was really light, I really didn't like the sound when I played one. It may have been due to the crappy Hartke combo though...

I love the Cort Curbows, awesome basses. Really nice clean tone if you're into that.
My main bass is a Cort Artisan B4fl, and it's an extremely solid bass. Granted, it's 11 years old now, but it's still running great with minimal wear and no problems in terms of playability.

Ages ago when I was shopping for basses, I played everything from low model Ibanez's to US Spectors, as well as some custom basses by Aussie luthiers. And you want to know something funny? The most comfortable bass I played was a Cort A4. It was just damn nice. So nice in fact, I came this <--> close to buying it and throwing in some Barts and a new preamp. And this would of all came to less than AU$1800 with the pups and preamp!
They are very nice basses. Only reason I held off was because there were a few other basses I wanted to try, and I ended up with a Warwick Hot Rod. Which is much better, but also 3 times the price :P

Now they come with Barts and bart preamps...
Although the Mightymite stuff is actually very usable.

i hate curbows.....the neck feels like **** and me being a glossed up fingerboard fan, hated it's feel
Cort's are very solid basses.
Stand up to Ibanez's any day.

One thing I find incredibly annoying about the bass is that it is extremely uncomfortable to play sitting down as the lower "horn" is so small it kept sliding off my knee.
Also the neck is paper thing which I don't find comfortable.

In my opinion, Cort GB/A Series > Curbow series
well considering that Cort pretty much manufactures all the Ibanez's that come out of Korea...........
Cort's are great basses for the price........a very worthwhile buy.
(the Cort & Warwick whore strikes again)

I love Curbows, played one and realy wanted the fretless version, but alas I couldn't afford it so my OLP Stingray got the fretless treatment.
