So Im doing some research to add a second cab to my rig. I currently have an Ampeg B2R head http://www.ampeg.com/products.htm?product=109&catid running an Ampeg SVT 412 cab http://www.ampeg.com/products.htm?product=94&catid=11. I want to add a 2x10 cab http://www.ampeg.com/products.htm?product=93&catid=22 to bring some higher frequences in. Ive been looking at new heads with 2 Ohm rateings and I run across Ohms law, seen it before know what it is. Or at least I thought I did. Resistance in parrallel, to make it short, two 8 ohm cabs equels one 4 ohm cab. But in series the resistance is added together, at least that is how to law is explained. So my logic could be totally wrong, but if I daisy chain the two 4 ohm cabs together, then run my head to only one of those cabs the resistance would equel 8 ohm. Maybe Im on target, I could just be over thinking it. I know you guys can help me.
thanks
