Ya know the stuff that makes a persons voice sound better than it really is?

theres a direct x plugin called anteres auto tune. I'm morally against this kind of software, but i must admit, that unless you sing abseloutly horridly, it works wonders.

I've heard it's pretty good, although I found it really hard to learn... so gave up, haha.

/owns a vocal processor
To the threadstarter.
What kind of stuff are you trying to fix? Are you trying to iron out a few flat notes, or take out some vibrato or change the key. Or are you trying to make your actual voice sound different?
The first few are covered by vocal processors.
The second, is covered by Antares Throat, I have no idea how effective it is though. It basicly allows you to 'model' a new throat.
But if you're wanting the throat modeller, maybe you need to look at your voice and learn how to use it in a manner that suits it best rather than trying to emulate a sound?

Antares definitely makes some of the best vocal processing plugins out there. Auto-tune, while morally ambiguous, is that 'Hollywood Magic' button for vocalists (Master X3 being the other hollywood magic plugin).
If you're looking for interesting vocal effects, I'd suggest plugins such as Enigma, the Antares AVOX package, the Orange Vocoder, nad the Sci-fi and Recti-fi plugins (which are, I think, made by Waves.)
The plugin companies that you generally can't go wrong with are: Antares, Waves, and Serrato.
You might check, if you're using ProTools, the digidesign plugin directory, which is well organized by what you might need the plugin for.
