Video Driver Update = Blank Display

ok, so i just updated my drivers to the newest driver from Nvidia (released as of March 17/2006)

after the install, i get prompted for a reboot....fair enough..made perfect sense

my computer reboots as normal - i can see Video bios, startup bios, XP loading screen etc....

but when Windows goes to the logon screen, my display goes blank....any suggestions on how this can be remedied? XFX Support is closed as of now...i need help badly

safe mode, roll back driver?

ok, i'm in safe mode now...but i rolled back the driver, and tried booting normally. same deal.

i checked the device manager, and it is using the old driver..

any other suggestions?

ok..i got it now...i went to XFX, got the newest driver from then...which is old by Nvidias release standards...and its up now

1. Download driver to desktop
2. Uninstall old driver, reboot (it'll prompt you)
3. Run driver cleaner
4. Install new driver by exe on your desktop, reboot
5. Repeat next time you want to update your drivers.
