Did any ever have one of these systems? I was, and still am a huge fan of it. I had around 40 games for it until they stopped making them. The spawn deathmatch type game they had for it was one of my favorite games of all time.

Never had one, but saw an interesting show on TechTV about it. Apparently this was a big deal, but marketing and business and cost got in it's way. You would probably know more about that then me, but I've always been interested. Apparently it was a superior console that never really caught on. Or so I've heard.

like 2 years ago i was still playing it cause i would download and burn games for it cause it required no modifications to play burned games what so ever :D.... i guess thats why dc failed :(

That's the thing, they had such an immediate notice in graphic improvement whereas in Xbox360 and PS3 you can't notice as well.

I disagree with the last term. The 360 is much better than the XBOX, and even blows away my computer.

Well I can really see to an extent (on certain games) but then there's NBA 06 where you can barely tell the difference.

The biggest one I've seen is on King Kong. The graphics on that are amazing. But if you have an awesome computer, I'm sure they are equal or even better.

I don't think I'll be getting a 360 though.

Try playing GRAW, haha. The scary thing is, these games are not even nearly using the 360s potential, and it's already owning any game on the computer.

Yeah, the first games are usually last gen-ish looking. Of course they will get better as the people at M$ get better at making games.

I'm ready for the Revo to come out though.

Not that 360s aren't cool or anything. I was actually planning on getting 360 and Revo last year, but I changed my mind.

I remember seeing Sonic on the Dreamcast and thinking how cool it looked. The controllers were pretty neat too.

It's one of the few games consoles I didn't own back in my prime gaming days.

I remember playing Shenmue, amazing game, which got me into Shenmue 2 for Xbox.

I thought it looked a bit dodgy, lots of sites say "Dreamcast ROMS here", when there are actually, none at all

However, Virtua Tennis, those graphics were, a first, at the time. Pretty realistic :cool:

I still have mine.

Burt showed me how to play SNES roms on it and I played those for a while. Good times. The only actual Dreamcast games I ever played on it were NFL 2k3 and Quake 3 Arena.

yeah thats pretty much why the dc didnt do so well, people didnt buy the games , they were burnin and bootlegging them.


but yeah you find the cd image for what ever game

and burn it to a cd and hope it works (most of them do work)


my fav game for dc is ferrari 355 challange, so much fun, no game compares to its physics, not even gran turismo

and the game is even more fun in the arcade , 3 screens, a 6 speed shift gate, 3 pedals :)

I see....and you can use normal CD-RW for these? Or do you need some sort of DVD?

If I see a really cheap Dreamcast, I'll be sure to grab it I guess.

neo geo 64 was a total peice of crap, i had like 3 games for it and only one would work, on the other two the system would freeze @ menu

and the oen that worked was called neo geo racer or something it was mad lame
