I want to replace all the triple flanged rims on my kit with diecasts. Does anyone know of any online stores that sell diecast rims in various sizes? I already checked a bunch, but all they could offer was 14".
Thanks in advance.

Why would you do such a horrible thing! :(
Mabey check midwestpercussion or interstatemusic
IMO you should just replace the snare rims. LEave toms as triple flanged.

Well Jim, four of my tuning rods are stripped on just one of my toms, so I need to get those replaced, and I really like how diecast hoops stay in tune. I also think it's bologna when people say they choke the sound on the drums. they're not that much denser than a regular 3flanged hoop.

They are noticeably heavier and thats what cuts down on resonance.

Cut its down quite a bit too
With a drum I always follow the same ideal, you can never have the drum sing out enough all of that crap with die-cast, reinforcment rings thick heads all of that non-sense is a waste. You can always muffle a drum but you can't add resonance to it.
