im looking into buying an electric set for my room when i wanna practice silently (well with headphones, but silent to everyone else)and i want one thats cheap but isnt bad, i dont even want effects, as i would not use them, so can anyone reccomend me anything?

Cheap ($) and electronic usually don't go together... I think the DTXplorer is what you're looking for...

Agreed! And it's fun to do!
Yeah DIY using an Alesis DM5 module is the most economically feasable way to go. You could either convert your existing kit, buy some cheap shells, convert a practice pad kit, or just be creative with mousemats etc.

It doesn't come with a module, which is the most expensive part of an electric kit.
