Ok so me and my guitarist recorded a song but at the beggining of the recording it was us talking and crap because we didnt know it was recording. After I got the drum track down and he got his guitar track down we figured out that there was like a minute and a half of b.s. at the beggining. We tried to cut it and the drum track and the guitar got all out of alignment. So does anybody know how to cut the s hit
at the beggining out and make the guitar line up with the drums w/o having a big blank space. The program is Audacity.
Thanks,
Jimmy and Jimi

Cut it out of the final mixdown, not the individual track cause then you will have to cut the same amount of time out of all the other tracks anyway.

if you don't want to cut it out and re-align it, you can save it the way it is now, export it as an mp3 or wav, then open a new project, insert the sound file of the recording you just saved, and cut the first minute and a half from there. everything will stay as it was, and you can easily cut the nonsense out.
good luck.
