Hey, Havn't really amde a new thread in a while and I have been wondering out the Dixon Piccolo snare. Its all maple I know that, There is one in at the shop for 169$ CAN, think I should go for it, I tuned it all up and I rather enjoyed the sound, but im wondering if there is anything else I should look at in that area of price???? I found a picture of the snare and Here it is.

Oh Right. I should Have added lol, I am without a snare at the moment lol, I am using a borrowed one. That could of helped a bit eh? haha

lol, yeh! I think if you like the sound go for it!!! But if you are giging without mikes make sure its loud enough!!!

yeah. True, Im not sure, about the projection either, How do most piccolos projection sound?

True, But I don't want to have to order it and wiat lol, I ahve never actually boughten a cymbal/drum out of a shop, I've boughten hardware out of a shop but never the things that cause sound lol. I tihnk it should be a good experience

Buy the snare if you like the sound and it's plenty loud. Looks good to me.

i dont think it had enough projection compared to my other snare, but sounds nice, just need to mic it :thumb:

I have that snare. I also have the Dixon Maple 5x10 snare. They're both very nice, and very affordable.
