ok guys, i made a thread a while ago about making a guitar. i can't find it now, so i've decided to clog your forum up with another thread, apologies to the moderators and such.
i'm making the guitar out of ash and silky oak, with a neck-through design, and several strips of timber. two DiMarzio air norton humbucking pickups, and a double cutaway body shape. should be good.
and as a sign of my goodwill, i'll be putting piccies up every few days showin my progress (or lack thereof) so you can ridicule, mock, question, and even compliment depending on whether you hate me or not.
anyways, the pics i have thus far:

this is a rough drawing of what i want it to look like.

this is the outer edges of the body on a full-size template

the ash laminates of the neck.

this is the block of silky oak i am using for the 'contrast timber' in the centre.
that's the story so far folks, i'll post more pics later. in the meantime, ask anything you wish.
