I'm in a dilemma.

I was browsing around on Ebay and found a Paiste Dimensions Crash for 75 bucks. It ends tomorrow.

But then i found a "Turkish" cymbal for $1.14 (it will obviously go up) and it ends in almost 6 days...

Now, I have never heard of the brand "Turkish". What do you guys know about them? I've been to their website (http://www.turkishcymbals.com) and it looks like they are similair to Istanbul or Bosphorus, but I'm not sure.

I've been on cymbalsonly and indoorstorm and found nothing. What do you guys know? and If you have heard of them, how do they sound?

Here's the auction. (http://cgi.ebay.ca/Turkish-Classic-18-Crash-Cymbal-1445-g-NEW_W0QQitemZ7398582054QQcategoryZ41445QQrdZ1QQcmd ZViewItem)

Tell me what you guys think please! Is it worth ditching the Paiste? Should I try for the Paiste first or just go straight for this one?

Not only do you not know how the turkish sounds, but it ends in 6 days, so you really have no idea how much it will sell for and whether or not you will be willing to bid on it at that point. As opposed to the paiste, which you are familiar with, and it sounds like youre willing to bid. which sounds more logical

I'm willing to bid on both i just dont know which one...and i'm not all that familiar with paiste...i'm just going off soundclips.

I'm just in need of a cymbal to replace my Scimitar...

I say bid on both. I'm not exactly sure how ebay works but if the turkish cymbal goes up and you don't win you don't have to pay(or so I think) so if you somehow win at a low price its a bargian. The paiste is also very cheap so I say bid on both, if in 6 days it still low enough get that one also.

Yeah, I also saw that there is a shipping cost. So yeah, good plan. Go for the sure thing then for the turkish if you lose

Not to rain on your parade but ebay prices go up significantly in the last 10 minutes (more like 30 seconds) of the auction. In order to find out how much you're going to pay on average for something, you need to see how much similar items have already sold for. If you're looking at the Medium Raw Crash in excellent condition ending in 15hr then you should know that a similar one sold for $171 previously.
