need to find a recording studio...

i live in smiths falls ontairo (half way between ottawa and kingston) and would like to find a recording studio in my area. do you know of any i have no problem driving to ottawa or kingston. I dont want to get ripped off though we are looking to record 3 songs for a small demo. where can we go? we are looking to spend less than 1000$.

For $1000, you may as well record your own demo using equipment purchased, as that way you'd be able to do future recordings without the hassle of travel, and still have damn good quality recordings. (Even though it's just a demo) I'm sure you could scan various threads on this board for ideas though.

This said, you would have to have the desire to learn the art, as well as the space for the studio equipment.
