Yeah I know we already have a Soulseek thread, but that one was really messy and out of date. This one will be better planned and better organized. I'm taking some ideas from the A&I soulseek thread and some of the old ideas from our own thread.

Soulseek is a p2p (peer-to-peer) file sharing program that is favored by the frequenters of this forum. It is a reletively small program that offers many different music files, specializing in more independent artsits than mainstream artists. The program also offers chatrooms where users can get to know each other and share music in a more personal manner. It is availble for Windows, Mac, and many Linux set ups.

The punk forum users gather in the soulseek chatroom called 'allthehubub' (case sensitive, without the 's). Most MX users gathered in the room called 'MX' (case sensative, without the 's). You can reach this room by right clicking the room list, clicking 'Create Room' and typing in the room name.

In the next post is a list of punk forum regulars and their soulseek names. These names are case sensative. If the user is not in the chat room, you can add them to your user list to find them eventually.

If you have a soulseek name and would like your name to put on this list, please fill out this form in a post.

Did you click search or press enter afterwards?

The search can be slow sometimes, check what you're searching for. Make sure it's spelled correctly, try taking out some terms, remove any apostrophes, etc.

Make sure soulseek is actually connected (the thing in the upper left hand corner should be green)

By the way I'm on the test one, that's 157 right?

ok so my slsk is ****ed up. whenever im downloading something from someone and i restart slsk or my computer they all get deleted. ill still have anything that i completed but everything else that wasnt done is gone. also it says im waiting to download some albums and whenever i try to delete them they just come back next time i turn it on. i think im going to reinstall it but has this happened to anyone else?

I have numberous movies but some are quite terrible, 200+ music videos, nearly every south park episode, every Futurama episode available (here) and a shltload of other stuff.
