Notes: I just looked at Hysteria, like 10 seconds ago and recorded that. And all those clips sound better in person. I might invest in an instrument mic or something like that. The B string tone I don't use very much, it can get muddy, but eh.

well you said it...but, there's not much of a point in displaying your tone when the recording equipment can't do it justice. i didn't like the "overdriven" tone, but hopefully it sounds better in person.

I think yousendit gets pissed off if you hotlink from another site and kills the link. I could be wrong though... You're right though, I just kind of felt like a whore.

The overdriven one takes some getting used to. The Epi's got too much of a clear sound I think to give it that classic tone. Something warmer would be much better for that.

Pinch harmonics without distortion, just to so that they can get picked up, albeit sound shitty.

Somewhat related: I was extremely happy when I made these, just because I love the way my bass sounds. I actually thought the whole wrist hurting thing was getting better, I hadn't noticed it the last week. But you know, then I go to bed and it's in a throbbing pain. So... I'm thinking about tenor tuning a Q4 in the far, far future.

There's about a million more tones inbetween here and there. They all have that same sort of attack and bite to them, but they can do SO much. I hardly mess with the three band EQ, usually I just mess with the balance and mids. The bass has quite a bit of low mids and can growl like nothing else, but it lacks the mid-mids, and some highs. I keep the mids boosted pretty regularly.

I'll do a growly type tone later today.

I know... and it's just the scale length and my puny hands. I do have proper technique and the like. But those chords and what not were 9th chords.
