That's mean. The only thing I'm not completely loving are the vocals. They are a little too country and old sounding but the music nice and tough. Who is that?

Its a band that plays mainly southern rock...like Allmans, Skynryd and Molly Hatchet.
Yeah the vocals are hurtin....is it the lyrics words or the vocal tone?
I thought is sounded too country also.

I just don't think that the vocals are strong enough in general. Compared to the music he just sounds weak. During the breaks he misses out on his chance to shine. I understand that you have to let the music ride but ad lib a little. I hear a lot of opportunities missed with room for growth.
These are just the opinions of an uptown street kid who doesn't listen to southern rock. If I were the producer, I would have demanded more from the singer and made the attack on the bass a little rougher at times.

Ok, I altered the monotone vocals and tried to widen it up a little to better mix with the soundtrack....did this help any at all till I get better tracks?
A total revamp of vocals and more lyrics will be added soon too.
Do the vocals need to stay away from the lower tones and just sing most of the song in higher tones?....that would reduce the "oldman" and "country" accent quite alot.
Thank you....TTYL :)

I seem to be hearing the mix differently today. I hope its not my computer playing tricks on me but it does sound better.
As for making the vocals being higher...I don't know. Try it. The singer just needs to give a little more. I'm assuming that you're using pre recorded vocals so there's probably not much you can do. Try layering the vocals at some point if you can.
