I love my thumb.

I really really do.

But what i really want, is a fretless Thumb, and as my intentions to get a 6 string fretted something else (not decided yet) i feel that this would be a perfect oppertunity to get a fretless thumb, without the horror for me that is defretting (new neck being a little less....permanent).

So, after all that, does anyone know anywhere apart from sending it to Germany, that could make me a custom neck for it in the UK. I know Jamie had a very good experience with Mr Shuker, and i was wondering how i would contact him, or if anyone else has any better ideas?

Cheers for the help guys :thumb:

If you want Warwick to do it, go to them directly. Dana B. Goods will tell you it's impossible, but Warwick'll do it no problem if you have the money.

Don't do it! Don't spoil it's perfection! try getting a new board fitted, maybe, but keep Shuker away lest he spoil the headstock!

Yeah that was what i feared, that i would lose my gorgeous warwwick headstock

So it seems that the best bet would be to either order a new neck from Warwick HQ in Germany, or send my bass off to get it fitted there for me.

Would they send me my old neck back with it? Because I would really love the option of the fretlessness not being completly permanent, and if the case came about that I hated it, i could reverse it.

the necks he makes are custom made. I'm sure if you asked him to preserve the headstock, he'd find a way.

Buy a fretless one.

Then you've got both.

take off the neck before you send it too them
you should tell them that you lost the neck and need a replacement:p

ive thought about that before, getting say a nice fender, and get a replacement fretless neck so that i could switch them occasionally.
