yar....see other thread

Hiya drummers, i'm from the guitar forum, and this seems to be a successful and rather eyeopening thread there, so i figured, hell, i figure might as well open them up in the drum and bass forums too guys. Enjoy!

Thought it would be a good poll idea. Just to see how many people support themselves, and or how.

Oh and your votes are public

Voter beware

The difference between self employed and Career/Not So Poop Job would be, like self employed would be your a doctor with your own practice. But if someone employed you, you would put career/not so poop job

And well if you worked for someone it falls under either career/not so poop job or min. wage job

oh and guitarists, bassists, and drummers, it would be nice if you voted in only one poll. Thanks

Oops.
Sorry.
I meant to hit option number one, but I clicked number too and hit submit on accident. Ah well.
My mommy buys me everything.

I choose career, but I'm a university student. That means I get a (lousy) loan from the government, but at least I'm on my way to a career.

I owe a great deal to my parents because they purchased my first kit for me 4 years ago. They've also given me drum-related gifts for my birthday, Christmas, etc. Gifts like my 18" AAXplosion crash :naughty:

My current part-time job is what allows me to purchase my stuff now, outside of holidays, etc. because, well, let's face it, drumming is an expensive hobby.

I thought the 'habit' was reffering to drugs. :p I'm supported by my parents but they make me pay for almost everything.

I'm a teacher  Professional job, far too old for parental support... have to support myself now... :upset:

Oh well... means I can buy whatever I like!! :D

Erm.... as long as the bills are paid, and the mortgage..... and I've made sure we've got basic food essentials for both me, my bloke, the cat and 5 fish.... and I've enough petrol.... oh man!! I wish I was back at home with mummy and daddy!

Minimum wage!

Well not really, more like 7.75$.

But still I pay everything and I get yelled at because my parent think of University being more important than my music.

You can vote for as many as you like. You could just click on them all really.

I can't imagine what'll happen when I go away to university... If I'm not in a well paying band I'll probably have to leave my gear at home and bring only a practice pad and a pair of sticks... Maybe I'll buy some Wuhan splashes and make myself an aznriceball kit :p If only electronic kits were cheaper

1st and last.

Parents net me $480/year + birthday/christmas and my job nets me around the same, but I only work in winter. Then I get summer jobs every once in a while where I get anywhere between $100-$400 for a few hours of work (selling pizzas FTW!).

I wouldn't call your career work, more like 5 consecutive days of paid fun :p Just joking, I know about all the hard work games take... You must also be really good at what you do to work for a company like that :thumb:

I get my money from my parents who give me about 6-7 bucks a week, from that I save and build up. I'm planning on getting a job though!

Hehe, yeah, it's pretty fun. I wish I was still working on a cartoony game though. Working on a realistic one makes it seem alot more like work then it was.

Minimum Wage Job... well actually it's like 9.06. BUt I live by myself... so all my money is sucked up by rent, food, electric, cable, telephone, cell phone... etc.

In short... I can't afford a habit.

Where's the long-term unemployed, sponging student option :thumb:. I chose Parents/Minimum Wage Job as that's what I used when I used to buy stuff (setup has been ideal for a while now) especially since my second hand AA ride payed for tself when I sold my **shudder** Z custom power ride.

min. wage job. grocery store cashier:angry:. so many old people are assholes. "I said pack them lite. I can carry it, but the bags can't." has been said in reference to 10lbs of chicken in one bag, even though ive put 14lb of turkey in one bag and it held fine.
