I'm gonna vote for Benjammin. I really like the intro's use of harmonics and the way the line was built up. The others had some good points, but there were some timing issues in mike's and Thumper's (kettle, pot, black everywhere...). Peeted's was second as it was pretty groovey.

Ben: Very nice, some harmonics and basslines, but it feels a bit muddy and strange when it goes into the heavily distorted section I feel and the ending could be done a bit better I think. But still a very nice piece and your tone is killer.

Mike: Nice bass line but watch for timing and articulatio and what happened to the input? It seems to swell every now and then. Feels a bit too much like a work in progress, try getting some drum loops and recording with them and layer it and make a more definate ending, then it could end up sounding pretty cool.

Thumper: Some nice ideas, but let down a bit by timing and the feeling that it isn't really going anywhere, just keep working on it.

Manticore Guy: Some nice ideas but watch out for your intonation and the second bass part feels out of key with the first. When the tabla hit comes it starts sounding quite nice though.

Matt: Very nice indeed, nice progressions and melodies throughout, shame about the mistake in the ending but ah well. Nice one man.

Peeted: Loving the vibe, quite well put together and some nice lines and ideas. You should have got some rapping over it though. :p

My vote goes for Matt, with Ben in a close second.

just for the record my song is only a joke song. i wouldnt have enterd it but i have no recording capability right now and as far as im aware id be kicked out of the leagues altogether if i didnt enter this round.

Ben, you know I love your piece. I like the harmonics in the intro. I can't remember whether you bought them back in later like I suggested, but yeah. I remember the distortion at the end being a bit overpowering.

Mike, it was pretty cool, but I'm thinking some drum loops maybe? It feels a little empty.

Your bass is ridiculously bassy, ironically haha. It seems a bit like a jam than a proper song. Needs a little more direction.

Wow. Pretty Eastern flavoured in my opinion. I like the ideas, although I'm not sure if I'm keen on the guitar. It needs to be a bit more balanced ie. quieter.

Sheephead
I like the progressions, and the general sound of the song. Chilled out, and good. I enjoyed it. Ending - mistake, but you could clear that up and have something really cool.

Uhmm. I don't really know who to vote for. Sheephead, I lost interest at some points. But I really did like it. It's a toss up between you and Ben. Ben, but only just.

Heh i actually forgot about my entry! Definitely next time i think i will have a re-done version of this song with some new ideas and a drum loop. Thanks for the feedback guys.
