it's a Peavey Cirrus Bubinga.
i'll get better pics soon this is a stock photo of the web but it's exactly the same.
i played both over and over and the Peavey just sounded and played better. not to mention the looks. this thing is gorgeous i don't want to put it down.

it's got plenty of punch. sweet electronics. the Toby sounded good but this was more clear and crisp down low and it has a nice growl. i'm not a slapper but i can get a sweet slap tone with almost no effort. funny thing was i looked right at it when i went in yesterday to look around and didn't give it a second glance as soon as i saw "Peavey". the sales guy saw me looking at the Toby today and said before you make up your mind just check this out.

currently i have the Peavey Grind 5 w/ EMGhz and Fender Tapewounds and it sounds pretty sweet. but the guy at the store said that if i get the cirrus it wouldent sound much better than what i have. i dont believe him... would you?.... cuz its hard to compare sound with completely different strings.

I havent played a Grind, but the look similar to the Cirrus, but from what i have heard, the preamp is more responsive, and more powerful.

Wow man, those are nice! I've been meaning to play one, but haven't found any yet.

Looks like today is a day for getting awesome basses! Congrats on the purchase man. I'm sure you'll love it!

good choice, Tobias has REALLY went downhill since Gibson bought it from Michael Tobias. If you want a 'real' Tobias, get an MTD.

I would slow a black man straight out of Martha Stewarts cell for a Cirrus sixerl

It looks pretty sexy! Normally I'm not a great fan of 'wood coloured basses'

Congrats! :thumb:

I have both a Tobias 6er and a Peavey Cirrus 4 string, personally i much prefer the Tobias, it's just more, i dunno "beautiful" if you get what i mean. Both are superb, the Cirrus is an excellent instrument. Have fun with it :thumb:

I've only played one Cirrus, and disliked it.
