direct x vs. vst?

is there any audiable difference between the directx version of a plugin and the VST version? Someone told me vst is better but I dont hear anything:confused:

No there isn't. VST plugins are easier to keep track of and uninstall, etc

the only differences are that some programs dont support VST so they must use a Direct X plugin. and certain plugins can take up more resources. Like The Grand 2 Piano Plugin in DX mode it requires more system resources than VST. Sound Wise they are both the same.
