Songs Per Set?

How many songs would you guys/gals suggest one should learn in order to make for an adequate jazz set? The obvious answer is as many as possible, but I'm talking bare minimum here. Any input would be great.:)

It depends how much you and your bandmates like to improvise, and it depends what the general length of a set is where you're playing. Different venues have different standards for set length, and the position you're playing in (ie, if you're just opening for some other bands) also is a factor in how long you should play.

my band normally plays for an hour each set, with abut 15 minutes in between, but sometimes the length of each set is longer or shorter.

i have played a couple shows, no jazz or funk, but me and the other guy i did the show with had to know about 20 songs. (kinda short songs)
