hmm i was in the mood for somethng different today so i grabbed my bassdrum and moved it like 3 feet diagnally forwed to the right.
i used my slave pedal as my main pedal. I then put my toms onto a seperate stand and had them in their usual location but only 1" above my snare height and very flat. like a 5 degree angle. it was so comfortable and allowed me to have my cymbals lower and in better locations.
Also i grabbed an old 8" tom and tuned it as high as i could...added it just over my aux snare for a neat little sound.
i then put 2 of my 10" splashes together as hi hats on my spare hat stand and mounted them just inside my hanging floor tom. It is amazing how playing hi hats on your right can realy open up your playing.
This is a very interesting setup indeed. You got anything you tried recently??
If any of this is hard to read just say and i will reword it. and maybe add a little grammar.
