I purchased the Bad Religion dvd live at the palladium and must admitt that I was somwhat dissapointed. Yeah, they totally kick ***-but it could of been way better. Heres list of my complains:
Too much brian baker, not enough brett
Drummer ties to hard (old drummers usedplay in a relxed way that give Bad REligion thier ****ing bad *** sound): I think he's trying too hard to leave a good impression.
Gregs vocals lack passion in the first few songs.
Brian Baker's solos don't have the classic bad religion sound.
Sound wise the guitars were barly distiguishable.

BR are one of the most boring bands I've ever seen live, and I've seen them like three times.

Their along the way DVD is better.
It was taped during their 1989 suffer tour, and was shot at 14 different locations in europe

No Control and Suffer is Bad Religion's best, I'd say. Empire Strikes First is up there too.

I've never understood the praise Bad Religion gets. They're ok, but their songs sound so similar to me.
And Greg Graffin masturbates in front of a webcam.
Regardless, I'd like to see a bit of this DVD, just because their live show must be pretty amazing to see.

They have the best live show.
If by best you mean "most boring". And they always play the same goddammed songs...namely, all the ****ty ones that 14-year-olds love, like "Generator" and "American Jesus".

I thought they had a good live show, but the setlist was mediocre. Fun show regardless, the crowd was cool so I enjoyed it a lot. They're also my favorite punk band, so that helps.

I want this dvd bad, I saw bad religion with anti flag in November, it was one of the coolest shows i've ever seen. Suffer and No Control are great, but i really like their last two albums also.

because, obviously, people have different opinions.

I'll only buy it if it has some old Bad Religion songs on there because Suffer and No Control are so much better than the new stuff. I'll have to see it before i buy it.

.......
The dvd was great.
Audio was poor compared to studio work, but I've never heard good audio on a live DVD. :/
Extra features were great, interviews were great, and its a huge set list including nearly everything (They cut ITU, and TNA, though :()
If you're a fan, buy it.

during the first couple of songs, greg's vocals actually arent all that enthusiastic, but after those first few songs, the rest of the set is great. They play so many damn songs.

The sound quality is alright. Like I said, you cant distinguish the guitars; they sound like too trebly and "soft." Overall their sound would get a 6 out of 10. But the set list is ****ing awesome.
