A minor pentatonic scale is I, III, IV, V, VII... of the minor scale.

There is an A# in the pentatonic scale of F minor. It is the third note.

Do you mean the pentatonic major or minor?

You know, the major scale (w = whole step, h = half step):

w w h w w w h
1 2 3 4 5 6 7

For instance F Major:

w w h w w w h
F G A Bb C D E F
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8

The formula for creating the pentatonic major corresponding to the major scale is: 1 2 3 5 6

The 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 in F means: F G A C D.

The formula for pentatonic minor is: 1 b3 4 5 b7

This means, in F: F Ab Bb C Eb. You look at the major scale, and apply the formula. (b = flat = lowering the note half a step)

Keep up the work!
