Anyone see "the shop"? If not you might like it if you like any hiphop, they get alot of funny guest appearences, and the premise of the show is none too different from the movie "barbershop" with witty barbers doing their trade while critisizing music videos (kinda like beavis and butthead?) But in my opinion its good for a reality show. Which seems like a dying genre of show even though there are so many, too few have original premises that are worth watching. Here is their myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/theshopmtv)

I saw the first show and found it sickening. Its full of suckers. It ain't nothing but advertisement for the guy who owns the shop. Out of the blue a dude says "So what do you think about this video?" and it wasn't even natural. That's when I came to the conclusion that it was advertisement. They were riding 50 hard as hell giving him a little too much credit. It may be a good reality show but its a turn off for me.

Heh, I hear you but I think that the music vids on the show are a great part of it, and when they discuss the music it doesn't seem all scripted IMO. Did you see the episode with fat joe for instance? He got pretty deep into the conversation about the roots of his music, I found it cool to hear about that aspect of his career I didn't know about before.

Yeah, "reality" show. That show is so obviously scripted. It's almost as fake as There and Back

heh, well i'd like to find out if they do actually script it. I mean, if I win the ballin with the barbers contest I could go check out the show in person, then report my findings here :naughty:
