View Full Version : Fûck the scene

you knows it, this an agressive skacore/punk song about how shÎt the scene is you know all those emo/post hardcore kids, SKA AND WHOEVER ELSE IS NOT SCENE KIDS UNITE !
**** the scene.
verse1
They think their all original, their copyin’ everyone else
It’s cool to go in the bathroom and take pictures of yourself
Twats with no identity, hair over one side’a the face
Talkin about their shÎt music and their photos on myspace
verse2
Mindless sheep walk into a trend, their tryna be bizarre
the more bands you know the more cool you are
Wearing tight clothes that don’t even fit
They know their scene and wont admit it.
Chorus
Fûck the scene and their hair
You see them fuking everywhere
Wearing drainpipes is not different
It’ll just make you impotent
Verse1 repeated for now
Verse 2 repeated for now
Chorus
Fûck the scene and their hair
You see them fuking everywhere
Wearing drainpipes is not different
It’ll just make you impotent
Bridge
Fûck the scene
Outro
fûck the scene
Its a bit...what's the word...
Cringeworthy
You wouldn't see this anywhere outside a cartoon video on Youtube that got 2/5 rating, one guy saying "lul" and two guys saying "done before"

A lot of people hate "scene" kids, but writing this song is one of the most "scene" things I've seen in a while. There's far more original ways of writing a song about something you don't agree with or an issue that you'd like to get your message across too.

You said it. Too many of these songs out there. I don't like those kids either, so I'd rather not be reminded of their existance when I don't have to be. ha.

This song would be less unfunny if it weren't for the fact that it possesses very little wit or intelligence. The lyrics are childish. Now, I like some bands that can be immature now and again like Big D and the Kids Table. But the difference here is that these guys really aren't doing it to make any kind of statement, they just want to be funny.
That said, there are more effective ways of telling people you hate scene kids. Very few writers can be effective with explicit lyrics. You either aren't one of them, and don't have any experience yet. Figure out which one it is and come back.

Way to be belligerent. Get a dictionary and half a brain and come back to this so you can laugh at it with everyone else. There's nothing here worth saving, and the lyrics are about on par with the worst of the "scene" bands that you're defecating on. Yeah, the "scene" is played out, but arguably none of those kinds of bands are emo in the first place.
Recap:
1. You don't know what you're talking about with genres.
2. You sound like an angry child - not something that you should come across in any writing unless you ARE an angry primary school student.
3. Ska had its time back in the mid-late 90's, and a lot of people thought that that trend was terrible, too, so don't get all high and mighty.
4. Punk-minded lyrics are by and large garbage, and you're only adding to the refuse. Grow up.
5. If you want a battle call, stand behind something that people will actually care about or has any sort of impact whatsoever.

*meekly holds up hand* I liked it. And can I just point out that flaming is not allowed, constructive critiscm only.
Two new verses would help, and the rhyme pattern is a bit all over the place though, summin like:
Fûck the scene and their hair
You see them fuking everywhere
Wearing drainpipes is not different
Fûck the scene, I don't care
About what I'm gonna wear,
Why should you?
might be better, though I don't really know how it should be sung.

I happen to enjoy numerous ska and punk bands, but your lyrics are terribly cliche. Unless you expand your vocabulary, or alter your plan of attack, you won't get very far. Try and insert some wit somewhere. "**** this" and "**** that" lyrics are anything but original, and are part of the reason why so many people make a mockery of many punk bands.

I know this post is rather late and it will be bumping this horrible song, but I had to say something. Okay, I was laughing so hard during the first verse, while reading everything else I was just shaking me head thinking how stupid it is. It is true that people who follow a single trend and let themselves be defined by a single label piss me off, and writing a song is a good way to show your love, hate, ect... for something. Unfortuanetely, you have to write the song well for people to listen to it and say, "Yeah, f**k those f**king f**gots, always following one trend and s**t (which is pretty much what your song reads like, STOP CUSSING!)". The message has been delivered before, people are already aware of it, if you want to resend the message, find, go ahead, just do it well next time. To many cuss words, very childish, just bad. 2/10.

I like Pop-punk too. It's that "animal photograph" movie where they get it on in the furnace right?
I have a couple of comments on that - thing - I just read:
Comment #1: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! (A little breather here) AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Comment #2: It's a magnificent work of art. You, whoever you are, have made an apt and powerful statement on the quagmire music is/was in. Technical proficiency in instruments, lyrics with powerful messages, a varied vocabulary, tune, rhymes, groupies - who needs them right? RIGHT?
You FEEL the music, right? What's more important than that? I mean, if Pink Floyd had just FELT more than practice, they'd have come up with such great masterpieces... Not some technical-full of deep meaning **** "music" hippies listen to. Right?
Go. Go be angry and come back before 6 or dinner will be cold. Go.

Wow, what a clever, intelligent and well thought-out argument. I can't possibly see how I can argue with such cold logic and reason.
Oh wait, yes... I can.
You're an idiot.
Anything with musical instruments in is music. What you're trying to say (and failing, possibly because you're a narrow minded moron, possibly because you've got the mental faculties of an elderly duck... I'm open to options here) is that you don't LIKE Pop-Punk music. That would be acceptable. I can't dictate what people like and don't like... our tastes are our own.
However, a narrow-minded and idiotic generalisation like that just reinforces my initial judgement that you are in fact, a musical retard. Have you even heard of any pop-punk bands apart from the ones you see on MTV? You do realise that not all music comes from MTV, don't you?
Now kindly start making some sense with your argument, or you're going to get e-raped here.

I dont think that saying ska sux can solve anything.
To be a well rounded band you should have elements of basically every type of music (metal, punk, jazz, classical, ska, reggae, rock, rap). To limit yourself to one thing has been beat to death by the industry, break out of the norm of trying to please people by singing and writing what YOU want... Not what any of us want

Seriously dude, the song just sucked. There is a legitimate reason for hating scene kids, but this song was a terrible way of expressing it.
And just so you know, there really isn't any genre of music which I can't enjoy at least a couple of artists from. So you'd be pretty hard-pressed to call me "scene." And while it is true that there is a scene for every set of music, "scene kids" is really just a slang term for people following trends not because they particularly enjoy it and want to immerse themselves in the culture of that scene, but because they think it will make them cool/kvlt/tr00/hxc/teh emo/whathaveyou.

as far as the screenname. it's parta the joke. everyone associates themselves with a scene and live for it for a little, and then change to the newest trend. so i put it all together for my screenname........it's not as funny when I explain it.:(

You're referring to elitists. You need to get your terms straightened out.
like the hardcore kids who liked emo, and had the girl pants, and now make fun of the kids wearing girl pants.
What?
truth is i can't stand the arrogant basturds who put themselves above the "followers". as far as the scene kids. they do what they do cuz they look up to the emo bands that did that.
The ones I met are doing it more out of teenage angst and the desire to rebel without any actual clue of how to do that than any real sense of admiration.
if yer preaching that yer not scene, yer just part of a newer scene, cuz you wouldn't really be trying to prove it to everyone that yer original if you're confident in yourself that your not trendy.
You're reading a little too much into this. I made a clear distinction between what the majority consider scene kids and the definition you seem to be using. But apparently, you weren't listening.
Maybe you should ditch this half-assed theory of yours and accept the fact that not everyone is so superficial as you make them out to be.
