After playing on the Yamaha DTXtreme at my local music store i realised i want one! but at almost £1500 cheapest i could find thats just kinda not possible! (i still dont understand why there so expensive!!)
I wondered though... if i were to slowly try and purchase each part of the kit would that come out cheaper??
If not (which im expecting) does anyone know of an electronic kit thats a bit more affordable, but of as near to that quality as possible?!

Dont get them! waste of money....they are fun for about a month only if you live in an apartment building. They dont feel like real drums, and it wil just piss you off. I traded mine in as soon as i could...wish i never even bothered.

To build it from scratch would be pricey.
Just save for it and see if you can find somewhere that'll allow you to pay in installments

I use a similar yamaha kit for practice. The individual parts are going to be very expensive, id try and find soemthing used. However only use an electric kit if you have too.

Im not too sure about yamaha models but i know quite a bit about Roland. Just make sure you DONT go for low end electronic kits like my Roland TD-3. If your gonna get electric you should get all mesh pads, but thats likely to cost you around 1500 at the least. I honestly dont think you'll get it for under that price but your best bet if your very very very lucky is to buy it from a shop as an ex-display model. The price will go right down.

Ion but they suck.
You must have been looking at the TD-20K for that price. Try shopping around
