why is the jazz artist selection so limited here?

I could be here for hours listing all my favorite jazz artists.. No Billie Holiday or Django Reinhardt? not to mention other genres.. I suppose Metalica and Slipknot are the faves here..if so ill find other bbs to post with.. it is not my job to enlighten. and other international artisits beside DR new and old...Edith Paiff...??? I guess Pat Matheny invented jazz.
