I would reccomend that you look into yorkville, for this www.musiciansfriend.com is you friend. they have a 15" 100w and a 2x10 100w (I think, the 2x10 might only be in the 200w model).

Screw Yorkville.

Go with the Ampeg. Best 100 watt combo I've ever played, and trust me; I've played plenty.

Ampeg BA-115 FTW.

I've also heard good things about an Ashdown combo in that range.

Yes they sound better, but they are not as undamageable and they are not as loud.

I would take the yorkville over that anyday. GK makes sweet stuff, but that set up is just meh.

The yorkville amps sound sweet, great for tone shaping and you can drop it down stairs and it will still work.

NO!!!! That isn't a GK, it's a backline. I'm telling you, they are nothing like the real GK's. They sound terrible IMHO.

I agree with Sade on this one, that Ampeg is ace.

For that amount of money, you could get more wattage from a Peavey.

The Peavey combos are virtually indestructable, have a wide variety of tones, and are quite loud. Look for a TNT or Combo (yes, that's the name of the amp).

I have had a Peavey Combo since 1980. Played many gigs with it, left it in my car overnight in 10 degree weather and it still works great.

BA115, held me for nearly a year and a half.

I definently recommend it

I own and <3 my TNT115. You can get it used for much less than your budget, and it will definately suit your needs.

Gallien Kreuger has an amp that fit your needs perfectly, it's in the backline-series. I think it's called 115
