View Full Version : what are some good heads?

I just got my new Sonor 3003 today and I want to upgrade the heads. I was thinking about just getting some remo pinstipes or aquarian studio x heads. I dont really know what I want so I wanted to hear some opinions. Thanks in advance for the help.

pinstripes are a big NO NO!!! they sound so dead...

dont get either of those caca heads. get Remo Coated emporors as batters and clear diplomats as resonants. GREEEAAT tone by having those dips as resos.

pins and studio x's can be ace for recording, but I wouldnt recomend them for anything else.
