Legato Slide vs. Shift Slide

I messed up the title of the other thread. What's the difference between the two?

In a legato slide you pick the first note, slide and keep the sustain through the second note...you do NOT pick the second note.

A shift slide is exactly the same, except you pick the second note when you get there.
