is having a woofer tweeter system on a bass more pricey? like would i need 2 amp heads and 2 cabs and everything? im really confused about this help me out
I take it you are talking about the cabinet itself having a build in "tweeter" i.e. a horn. If that is the case then yes, it might be a bit more expensive than one without. As for the needing 2 amps/heads in that scenario.....you would not need it.
If you are however talking about 2 separate cabinets one carrying the drivers (speakers) for the lower frequencies and a separate one for the higher frequencies, you would not neccessarily need 2 heads.
Then again I have a feeling I might have missed the point entirely in terms of your question.

hmm kinda, i mean like billy sheehans bass and chris squire that has 2 seperate outputs u know, one for each pickup. how would i use one of those, would i need 2 amp heads and a cab for each amp head? i imagine i would but im just checking
I think you would just need an amp capable of handling stereo if that is what you are trying to achieve. the only amp i can thing of offhand that has dual input is the David Eden WT1205 (has 2 inputs with each one having its own equilizer)
are you talking about a spliter like they use in regular audio products i.e. a device that takes an input signal and divides it into bass, mid and treble and then send it off to the appropriate driver (speaker) i.e. bass goes to the woofer and the treble goes to the tweeter.

I think TS is talking about bi-amping. For this, you need:
a) crossover....this splits your signal between hi's and lows.
b) two channel preamp (or two single channel)...one channel for highs, one for lows
c) two channel poweramp (or two single channel)...see above
d) two cabinets...see above
