Well................

Went into Music store that has become a bit of a second home for me.

Back the story, went in to have a second look at a new combo unit (Fender bassman 2x10) and started messing around on a warwick tumb 4 trying out the various settings and such. So got to talking with the "bass" guy of the store about what I was looking for and also the warwick.

He said they are great (already knew that) and that he had some of the new Corvette $$ (double buck) in stock and pulled out one for me to have a look at. I have played it before and loved but the price was the main negative feature, so I ask the price and he was prepared to give it to me for 25% discount.

So long story short I have put my Cort Artisan A5 on consignment and am now the owner of a new Warwick Corvette $$ (Double Buck)

So just 2 pictures for the moment as I am too busy playing the damn thing and loving it too pieces. (am typing this with it hanging around my neck)

Oh side note.................pays to be friendly with the staff......got a free strap (decent Levy's one), instrument cable, and as I was about to walk out he gave me a set of Warwick Black Label strings for free.....really nice guy.

So there you go.......a little bit of eye candy.

(Still a Cort whore........But now more of a Warwick whore)

5 string?

yeah. 5-strings are more than 4bangers, obviously, but you can get any warwick bass lefty for the same price as a righty.

Okay, now my last question (and the most important one).

How much is it?

*braces for huge sum of money*

Well let me put it this way..............my amp has never produced such a nice tone.

I really do see what all the hype is about warwick now.

I have been messing about with the 2 three way switches that change the pickups to series, parallel and a variety of combinations and have not yet found a tone that I cannot work with, ranging from warm and mellow for jazzy type lines to a brighter "twangy" sound perfect for slap but with lots of punch.

I paid 6900 Rand for it which works out to about US$1112 but do keep in mind that we pay a bit of a premium in South Africa because of the shipping distance, but still I felt it was worth it.
