I have Sabian AAX hats, ride, 2 crashes and an AAXtreme china but I want to expand more into other lines. Would you recommend HHX? If so could you help with what type, like Power, Stage that sort of thing. I play punk and metal on a four-piece kit. Cheers for any help you can give me.

HHX would be good. Same with AA. Look into HHX stage crashes and AA medium crashes.

Nah. Wouldn't work. Cymbals have to be from the same brand and series to be legally permitted for use on a drumset.

HHX cymbals would work, they mix well with AAX, and AA and other lines made for metal, a Zildijan K Dark Crash, or Paiste Rude would work well also.

Don't buy cymbals in packs. I'm not being sarcastic this time.

neither. dont get packs. Pick them out seperately. THen you get more of what you want then just whats in the pack. Plus you should try out cymbals too instead of asking us. ITs good to ask but you still need to try it out.

Ive liked packs that ive rarely had the chance to play on though, but those were AA and AAX packs.

you could always go onto the sabian soundcheck and check out each cymbal in the pack...if you like them all, then may as well get them...

i wouldnt rely too much on soundcheck though. Its ok but not entirely accurate

HHX would do you better than HH, just in my oppinion.

really, there aren't any inter-brand "Bad" combos... sabians work well with sabians, z's with z's, and paistes with paistes no matter what line, really.

well its ok but i mean its not going to sound exactly like the sound clip is what im saying. Thats why id rather try it out in person.

Amen.... the only sound clips i'd trust is Paiste... and that's only 'cuz all paistes sound the same :D
