Government Issue were an 80's hardcore band on Dischord (http://www.dischord.com/main.shtml), with a similar sound to Minor Threat, VOID, Dag Nasty, Yough Brigade, and the Teen Idles, and many other bands signed to Dischord. Listen to these guys if you like 80's hardcore, Dischord bands, or other bands from the DC scene.

"Rock 'N' Roll Bull****" is one of my favorite songs of all time! All their stuff from Four 7"s on a 12" is awesome.

Boycott Stabb and Legless Bull are great. There are better hardcore bands, but Government Issue is still a good listen. I didn't know they were on Dischord, that's pretty cool.

I think they were great for their time, but they've been fading away for a while. I have You on my computer, but I completely forgot about it under all of the other stuff. I can imagine it making a comeback sometime though.

I got their Make An Effort EP years ago, first print and out of print. It's the only record I still own from my pre-street punk days, and still a great. Government Issue is a big influence for me.
