View Full Version : Rate the bass of the person above you game!
Yep, I stole this from the guitar forum, but threads I come up with myself usually fail horribly. :upset:
So, simple concept, post a picture of your bass and the person below rates from 1-10 and then posts a pic of theres and the cycle continues..
Mine, ignore the amps. Just rate bass.

I got it for my birthday in December, it's a Status Energy (same as Status Graphite)
Has a great tone, incredibly woody tone, just what I wanted from a fretless.
I took the ramp off the TRB btw, decided that they're pointless and I scratched the finish when removing it, you can't see it but feel it slightly

Wenge is actually a very stiff wood. It's used VERY often by many manufacturers, including Warwick (used to be standard on ALL their basses), MTD, and many custom bass builders.

The Shuker...5/10, given the price.
The wood doesn't really do it for me, has a bit of a coffee table look that could have been avoided with a more interesting piece, the monorail bridge system is quite ugly (although points for black hardware). The headstock shape is rather ugly, the upper fret access looks pretty dismal too. And the neck looks as wide as a rather large boat. Plus, they're not cheap.

haha, yeah. I was expecting a 2/10 or something. I would have your exact same bass if I had 150 more, but I didn't, so I had to settle for that because I needed a bass.
So, your bass gets a 9/10 from me. :thumb:

HOKAY...well this is what i KNOW of it
my uncle used to playt bass for loverboy..i dont know how he got hjis hands on it but he did. thise are the first 2 bartolini pickups ever produced, first basass bridge, 21 fret rosewood. that pic..it was used by prakash john who was the bass player of alice cooper if im n to mistaken. it was used on alice coopers welcome to my ngithmare album and 3 lou reed albums. it was rebuilt in 1979 for him and they molested it with mods as you can see...it has the sexiest tone in the ****in planet..very vintage weighs like 42343 pounds..nut yeah what else u wanna know just ask::thumb:

As far as this 61 P-Bass that's was being discussed before, Tony Levin was the bassist that played on Alice Cooper's Welcome To My Nightmare so somebody's lying (not necessarily sockpuppet, perhaps the person he recieved the bass from or the person he recieved the bass from, etc).
