Morbid Angel

Any fans here? Once in a while this thread pops up but quickly dies. I own Covenant, Domination, and Gateways To Annihilation. I hear that Alters Of Madness is their best but i just haven't got around to buying it yet. I've read on Amazon that Gateways gets alot of negative feedback but its my favorite so far, it has a really dark kind of atmosphere. Talk about Morbid Angel:thumb:

I used to have Domination and didn't like it. Even longer ago, I had Alters of Madness, but I hardly remember it.

I'm not big into the style.

The songs I have heard by them are awesome. I really want to get that Formuals Made Fatal to Flesh or something like that. But yes. I love them. Trey is such a great guitarist. Anyone want to send me Formulas.... or Alters of Madness? It'd be much appreciated.

My second favorite is Domination. Where The Slime Live kicks *** song but the corny lyrics bring it down just a tad. "Then the sime were washed away HAHAHAHAHA!". Kinda corny but i still like it.

I know, i should order it this week. I doubt i'll be able to find it at say, Best Buy.

Anyone else like the little sound scapes they put in their albums. I find them to be really relaxing. Random Note: That one soundscape in Nile's Annilihation Of THe Wicked is straight up creepy. Sounds like a bunch of dinosaurs in a colloseum about to kill a bunch of guys runnin for their lives.

Yeah, I prefer Altars though, but the instrumental passages on BATS are oddly beautiful and haunting.

You could try some of their fellow Floridian counterparts, like Obituary, Deicide and early Death. Though Morbid Angel have a fairly unique sound (especially on the later albums).
